PROFIL Extra 5 SL is an insecticide of the neonicotinoid group. It is a systemic contact and stomach insecticide with a broad spectrum of action against mainly sucking insects such as aphids, mealybugs and against certain lepidoptera, coleoptera, diptera and thrips. It works by binding to postsynaptic (nicotinic) acetylcholine receptors in the insect’s central nervous system.
