Dahlia (named after the botanist Dahl)
It is propagated primarily via tubers in the spring. It grows in almost all soil types but thrives in sunny, sandy-clay or clay-sandy soils. It is sensitive to very low temperatures. Due to the wide variety in plant type and height, as well as the shape, size, and color of its blooms, it can be planted near buildings, in containers, on terraces, in gardens, or even within lawns.
