“Ginseng” is the Chinese name for the ginger root. The Ginseng Ficus is certainly not edible—it is toxic if ingested—but the appearance of its trunk resembles ginger, hence the name.
- It requires plenty of light, so place it in a bright spot.
- Water when the top layer of soil dries out (every 4-5 days during the summer months, and once a week in spring and autumn).
- Ideal temperature: 16-25°C.
