Dahlia (named after the botanist Dahl)
Propagated primarily via tubers in the spring. It grows in almost all soil types but thrives in sunny, sandy-clay or clay-sandy soils. Susceptible to very low temperatures. Due to the great variability in plant type and height, as well as the shape, size, and color of its flowers, it can be planted near buildings, in containers, on terraces, in gardens, and even within lawns.
